With the very lovely mild weather Melbourne has been getting, a zoo trip was something I wanted to do. I love the zoo and Percy had never been so today seemed a better time than ever. Here's snaps from our day. Enjoy!

Another market done and dusted!

Hi all,

We are having some very delightful weather here in Melbourne at the moment. Warm and sunny. Trees are beautiful with their autumn leaves and flowers are pretty at the moment too. The weekend was perfect for having another market stall, and here are the pictures from the day. My sister from Lola and Joy joined me again selling her vintage dresses amongst my handmade goods. I made a whole bunch of new items too which I will show you in another post!

I spent my Sunday as a shopper at the camberwell market where I bought a few handmade and thrifted goods supporting others like Sam and myself. I will also share these wonderful things in another post soon!

Joining: Handmade Kids Clothes Swap

Hello again,

So i've signed up to join a super cute swap at Mend and Make New, making clothes for another swappers children. I dont know why this swap excites me so much but it does. I think its knowing someone somewhere will make something with Percy boy in mind, and isn't that cute! The idea is you knit, sew, crochet etc an item of clothing for a cute child somewhere. If you like this idea and would love to join in, have a look here....sign up closes tomorrow the 11th!! There is something so nice about seeing a child in handmade clothes. I love putting Percy in something that was made for him!!!

Just cos we need some pretty pics in a blog post, here's some clothes i've made for friends and families children, so hoping with this practice, i can make something lovely for my swap partners child.

And as my Vintage Recipe Swap comes to a close with partners receiving their parcels, I will update you soon on what got sent around and what people are baking!

Hi there lovely ones,

Hope you are all well. Im good. Im cold but Im good. Ive been a bit quiet recently sorry, as we ran out of internet data and Ive also been busy with mothering a toddler and sending off the very last issues of Hundreds and Thousands magazine. We have sold out of our issue one and its quite unbelievable.

Anyway, Im here now, and I thought Id share with you some of the things ive been making recently. Some for gifts, some for me, some to eat and some for my next market stall at The Fitzroy Market the 17th may.

I made myself a new dress out of one of my most favourite pieces of vintage opshopped fabric I own!

Ive started to crochet tea cosys to sell.

I made myself a pair of easter knickers inspired by Mezz's handmade undies

I crochet these fingerless gloves for my richmond mad nephew for his birthday.

Framed a much loved piece of fabric I bought in Japan, keeping it on display rather than hidden.

Making and eating The Whole Pantry chocolate mousse fudge tart

I was given the fab book Home, by Beci Orpin, and inside was a tutorial on how to paint your own plates. These are some of what my hubby (spot his!!) and myself have done. Its quite addictive.

You can never have enough bunting, so a new one is hanging on our lounge wall. Spot the picture frame..its from our latest issue of Hundreds and Thousands magazine!!

So as you can see Ive been busy, so hopefully that's a good enough reason for my silence. I do have a few more blog posts lined up, so I will be back soon, I promise!
