What have you been getting up to? How have you handled the heat if you live in melbourne like me?
Taz
love all ur makings! what did u use for lunch bags?i need to make more as jnr lost the ones i made when he took them to school....grrrrrr!
ReplyDeletethe heat has been awful, and im still sick! hoping to get creative again soon...mite need to get off the couch first!
xx
Oh mezz, sorry to hear your still sick! I dont know if it was you or ash or another blog or someone out there ho a while ago suggested using the strong ikea food bags so I line them with those and hopefully that will last a long time. The outside is just waterproof placmats I found but any vinyl would do I reckon.
Deletei was going to ask about your lunch bags too :) what did you line them with? does the bread dry out? love all your other bits you have been making. i think i might dig out some wool and make some pompoms.
ReplyDeleteI lined them with strong thick food bags from Ikea. Then we just wipe the bag clean after each use and it works fine. The outside is waterproof placemats I found but any waterproof fabric would do I reckon. So far my hubby hasnt complained of dry bread so all good there!
DeleteWow you've been busy! Love the splashing - must be bliss to be able to cool down!
ReplyDeleteIt really is the best getting into water when your a sweaty mess haha
DeleteI love your idea about making mini pompoms for trimming purposes. Why on earth didn't I think of that! Jealous of your water fun - it's certainly not the weather to be doing that here - unless your're in a heated swimming pool of course. xx
ReplyDeleteWell Im happy of the pompom idea but lets see how it looks after I put them on the cushions!
DeleteHi Taz! So great to "meet" you! Love those crochet cushion covers, the colours are lovely...
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you too. Thanks for commenting and following me!
DeleteIt seems like the comment I tried to post yesterday disappeared into the ether, but just to say I love all the things you've been making! I also wanted to ask how old is Percy?
ReplyDeleteHi Taz, I've just tried to send this in response to your commment on mine, but you have no-relpy blogger:
ReplyDeleteHi Taz, thank you dearie. It's a great tutorial, every i is dotted and t is crossed - perfect for a beginner like me.
I posted your plate today. I hope you like it. It's not really pretty per se, but it is very nice x
Percy is so cute in his little green and gold bathers and I love your little menangerie.
