Crochet Cushion Covers

It was my aunty's birthday on the weekend, and I thought I would make her something I've never made before. A crochet cushion cover. I have not been crocheting all that long, so wasn't sure how i'd go with this task, but I kept going and I am actually very happy with how it's turned out. I made a pretty envelope back using some fabric with nice edging, so if she wishes, she can have the cushion any way round. I'm having little little thoughts of perhaps one day selling some of these. But lets focus on this post first! I also made our family recipe chocolate cake and decorated it with her favourite chocolates. The idea was not mine, but from my lovely friend at Cloudberry Dreams who made one with m&ms and kit kats.

The cake!

There was left overs..brekky was sorted!!

I wrote in this cute thrifted card..she loves cats!

Well, I know she had a lovely birthday, and in a few weeks time the family are going on a country drive to do a bit more celebrating, but until then, Happy Birthday!!

And now back to cushions, I'm now working on this one that I found unfinished at a local opshop. I will add a pretty envelope back and will see if I keep it, give it away or perhaps stash it for future selling!

Oh and incase you didn't know, I'm on twitter now if you would like to follow me around!

Thanks for reading..
