My weekend second hand finds.

On the weekend, I did a fair bit of shopping(my kind of shopping, food, second hand finds). I've not had a day dedicated to rummaging through market stalls and opshops in a while, so I was very excited about doing this. It started on friday afternoon, on a hunt for an electric frypan, as out stove and oven died, but instead I left with these few things.

A new butter dish and pretty cups.

Pretty flats with big bows!

Saturday, I met my sister and mum at the Fitzroy Market early in the morning. I wasn't sure I was going to make it, Percy fell asleep at around 2am that morning!!!! I was sure that this market was going to be expensive because of where it was and that it was advertised to sell vintage and handmade. This usually means expensive price tags. Well...I was pleasantly surprised! Nothing cost me more than $5.

This Kewpie I had to get as it looks like Percy, $4

Pretty lace collar you can wear on anything, $2

A ukele for Percy, but Pete too, $5

Some very loved but still lovely clogs, $5

These highwaisted, vintage bikini bottoms or swimming shorts, $5

Pretty floral skirt, $2

This cute skirt. For $2 was worth it, I just need to sort out the buttons!

This handmade thick winter skirt, $4

We also ate amazing caramel cake and peking duck springrolls. I am definatly going again!

On the way home, Hubby, Percy and myself had afternoon tea at my favourite place, Jam and Cream. After stuffing my face with the best scones and bread and butter pudding, I spotted a basket of vintage kitchen items for sale. I saw this oh so cute jug. I've been looking for one of these forever, after first seeing one at a clients home a couple of years ago. So when I saw this, I grabbed it. It was $5, but worth it. It also reminds me of that client who I no longer see, so thats lovely!

Thanks for reading. I have another South African Recipe post coming up as well as my little tribute to Japan. Stay tuned!
